Extended Education Student receives Diversity Engagement Award Robin Baidya, a Spring 2012 graduate, and current Extended Education student will be recognized as a recipient of the Diversity Engagement Award for his work with Out in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (oSTEM). oSTEM is an organization that aims to provide services, support education, and networking opportunities to STEM students who identify as part of a gender or sexual minority. Baidya served as the film, lecture, and workshop coordinator for oSTEM this year, while also taking mathematics courses as an Extended Education student to fulfill prerequisites for competitive graduate programs.
The Lantern Focuses on Nontraditional Students Nontraditional students motivated to return to college were highlighted in the April 18th issue of thestudent newspaper, The Lantern.
